A free 7-day self-growth challenge: one small task a day

Updated 17 October 2026 · Free

This free 7-day self-growth challenge is one small task a day for a week, each using a worksheet or guide already on this site. You start by noticing how you feel, then work out what matters to you, then choose one small change. Skip any day, stop whenever you like, and nothing is emailed to you.

Most of us don't need a big overhaul. We need somewhere gentle to start. This week is seven short tasks in a sensible order: first you notice, then you understand a little, then you pick one small thing to try.

Every task points to a page that is already here and already free. You don't need to sign up, and you don't need to do it perfectly. If you tick a day off, it's saved on this device so you can see where you are when you come back.

How it works

  • Press "Start this path", then open each day's page when you're ready. Do the day in one sitting, or just the part that helps.
  • Tick "Done" when you've done a day. The page shows which day is next from what you've ticked, never from the calendar, so there is no such thing as being behind.
  • Rest days are fine. Skip any day, do two in one go, or leave the whole thing for a month. Nothing changes if you do.
  • Some days send you to a section partway down a worksheet. You can start there, or read from the top.
  • Your ticks are saved on this device. If you have a free account they are saved there too, so they follow you to your other devices.

The 7 days

Checking what you've ticked off…

  1. Day 1

    Name how you feel

Check in with yourself and find a word for how you feel that fits better than "fine" or "bad".

Open: Feelings Wheel · start at "Today's check-in" · the page says 6 min read

  2. Day 2

    Notice three good things

Write down three things from today that were good, even if they were small.

Open: Gratitude Journal Prompts · start at "Three good things from today" · the page says 6 min read

  3. Day 3

    Read about noticing yourself

A reading day: see how paying attention to your own thoughts and habits works.

Read: How to be more self-aware · the page says 10 min read

  4. Day 4

    Pick what matters to you

Choose the values that feel most like you, without worrying about the "right" answers.

Open: Core Values Worksheet · start at "Pick the values that matter to you" · the page says 6 min read

  5. Day 5

See where life feels full or empty

Score eight areas of your life out of ten, then save the wheel on this device.

Open: Wheel of Life Worksheet · start at "Score your eight areas" · the page says 6 min read

  6. Day 6

    Make one change tiny

Choose one habit you'd like, and shrink it to a version so small it's hard to say no to.

Open: Habit Tracker Printable · start at "The cue and the tiny version" · the page says 5 min read

  7. Day 7

    Decide your first steps

Write down one or two first steps and roughly when you'll take them. Then you're done.

Open: Self-Growth Plan · start at "First steps and when I'll take them" · the page says 6 min read

You can stop or skip any day. Nothing is emailed to you, and nothing here counts the calendar.

This isn't therapy

These are self-reflection tools, not therapy. If a day stirs up more than you expected, stop and do something that steadies you. You deserve real support, not just a worksheet.

Questions people ask

Does a 7-day challenge work?

We don't know. We know of no trial of this particular path, and a week is short. It is a way to try a few of our worksheets in a sensible order, with no pressure. What you take from it is up to you.

What if I miss a day?

Nothing happens. The page never counts calendar days and never tells you you're behind. It simply shows the next day you haven't ticked.

Do I have to sign up or give my email?

No. It works fully signed out and nothing is emailed to you. An account is optional and only makes your ticks follow you to other devices.

Is this therapy?

No. It is a set of self-reflection tools. If you're struggling to cope, or low mood or anxiety lasts more than a couple of weeks, please talk to your GP or a qualified therapist.
